PAL Humane Society is a non-sheltering humane society. Since we do not have a shelter to house the
animals, we rely completely on volunteer foster homes to care for our animals until they are adopted
into permanent loving homes. We are always looking for volunteer foster parents, especially throughout
the busy spring and summer seasons. PAL Humane Society provides all equipment, supplies and support
necessary for the comfort and well-being of foster animals, including food, bowls, bedding, toys, litter,
medication, and veterinary care.
Some animals only need a home for three days, others may need 2-3 months depending on each animal's
needs. By offering your time, energy, and home to an animal in need, you are preparing each animal for
adoption into a permanent home. The foster care program helps us to know each animal's personality and
individual needs so we can place them in the best suitable home. You can be a part of this lifesaving and
rewarding program. The more foster homes we have, the more lives we can save.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Each day we receive numerous calls from people needing to place their
animals in new homes. Unfortunately many are turned down simply because we do not have a place to
house them. All of the animals we are able to help through our foster care program would have otherwise
been killed, so your role as a foster parent is crucial to these animal’s lives.
