| Poem For Cats And The Maker asked the feline spirit Are you ready to go? Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul And, as a cat, you know I am most able To decide anything for myself. Are you coming then? asked The Maker. Soon, replied the whiskered being, But I must come slowly For my human friends are troubled For you see, they need me, quite certainly. But don't they understand? asked The Maker That you'll never leave them? That your souls are intertwined for all eternity? That nothing is created or destroyed? It just is... forever and ever and ever. Eventually they will understand, Replied the glorious cat For I will whisper into their hearts That I am always with them I just am... forever and ever and ever. Author Unknown |
| 2003 by a warehouse owner who had trapped and tamed her as a kitten. She was already 6 years old and was completely untouchable when she first came in. We thought that we would need to call her owner to take her back but wanted to give her a chance. After about a month, she decided that we weren't so bad and that she wanted to stay with us. She became more friendly every day and she filled the position as character office cat. Miss Kitty had a deformed front paw but that never slowed her down. She had a sassy but loving personality and a meow that didn't quit when she wanted attention. Today is a sad day and we will greatly miss our beloved mascot. |
