After 17 years serving the Victor Valley, PAL Humane Society is on the verge of being forced to move
or worse — though workers said they’re not willing to consider the possibility of shutting down.
“For us in our minds that’s not an option,” said Darlene Cunningham, a former volunteer and current
staff member at PAL. “We’re trying to be positive.”

Along with rescuing dogs and cats that would often otherwise be euthanized at overcrowded public
shelters, PAL runs a number of community programs.
The organization provides food to the
pets of over 100 seniors on a monthly basis, offers weekly dog training courses, its Prison
PALs Program is operating in local federal and juvenile detention facilities and it runs
Animal Welfare Explorer Post #156 for the youth of the community.

To support PAL, contributions can be made online at palhumanesociety.org.
Donations can also be mailed in or dropped off to
PAL Humane Society at 20601 Highway 18, Suite 156, Apple Valley, CA 92307.
